”As a result of an investigation by the Connecticut
Department of Labor’s Wage and Workplace Standards Division, a Gaylordsville resident
has been sentenced to jail and ordered to make full restitution for wages owed to seven
employees of his former business.
"Douglas Agnessanto, 56, appeared in Danbury Judicial District Court July 2, 2012, as a result of an arrest warrant. Agnessanto, owner of the former Danbury‐based Performance Cleaning business, was charged with a Class D felony for violation of wage payment and ordered to serve three months jail time in addition to five years probation. "He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $106,964.65 (which includes $26,806.38 in interest) to the seven workers that filed complaints with the Labor Department.” Details: CTDOL |
