Each mass layoff involved at least 50 workers from a single employer. Connecticut mass layoff events in September decreased by 1 from September 2011, and the number of associated initial claims decreased by 42. NATIONWIDE Nationally, employers took 811 mass layoff actions involving 70,570 workers, nsa.
