The Connecticut State Police Memorial Day enforcement period started on 05/25/12 at midnight and concluded on 05/28/12 at midnight. The enforcement efforts produced the following results: Total Accidents Investigated 279 With Injury 57 Fatalities 1 (Rt. 8, Exit #30 Waterbury) DWI ARRESTS 77 SEATBELT ARRESTS 816 SPEEDING ARRESTS 1797 A year ago, Memorial Day Weekend in 2011, Connecticut State Police investigated 260 motor vehicles accidents and 4 fatal crashes.
