| Compensation costs for civilian workers increased 0.3 percent, seasonally adjusted, for the 3-month
period ending March 2013, essentially unchanged from the 0.4 percent increase for the December 2012
3-month period.
Wages and salaries increased 0.5 percent for the current period compared to a 0.3 percent increase for the December 2012 period. Benefit costs decelerated to 0.1 percent in March 2013, down from 0.6 percent in December 2012.
