• U.S. Personal Income — September 2015

Personal income increased $18.6 billion, or 0.1 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $19.2 billion, or 0.1 percent, in September. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $15.6 billion, or 0.1 percent. In August, personal income increased $54.9 billion, or 0.4 percent, DPI increased $49.5 billion, or 0.4 percent, and PCE increased $44.2 billion, or 0.4 percent, based on revised estimates.

Real DPI increased 0.2 percent in September, compared with an increase of 0.4 percent in August. Real PCE increased 0.2 percent, compared with an increase of 0.4 percent.

• Compensation: Wages and salaries decreased $3.7 billion in September, in contrast to an increase of $36.0 billion in August. Private wages and salaries decreased $7.0 billion, in contrast to an increase of $32.2 billion. Government wages and salaries increased $3.3 billion, compared with an increase of $3.8 billion. Supplements to wages and salaries increased $3.3 billion in September, compared with an increase of $6.4 billion in August.

• U.S. Personal Income & Expenditures — August 2015

Personal income increased $52.5 billion, or 0.3 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $47.1 billion, or 0.4 percent, in August. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $54.9 billion, or 0.4 percent. In July, personal income increased $69.6 billion, or 0.5 percent, DPI increased $63.9 billion, or 0.5 percent, and PCE increased $45.7 billion, or 0.4 percent, based on revised estimates.

Real DPI increased 0.3 percent in August, compared with an increase of 0.4 percent in July. Real PCE increased 0.4 percent, compared with an increase of 0.3 percent.

• U.S. Personal Income, Expenditures, & Compensation — June 2015


Personal income increased $68.1 billion, or 0.4 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $60.6 billion, or 0.5 percent, in June.

Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $25.9 billion, or 0.2 percent.

Prior Month: In May, personal income increased $66.3 billion, or 0.4 percent, DPI increased $53.8 billion, or 0.4 percent, and PCE increased $90.8 billion, or 0.7 percent, based on revised estimates.

Real [Inflation-adjusted] Data: Real DPI increased 0.2 percent in June, compared with an increase of 0.1 percent in May. Real PCE decreased less than 0.1 percent, in contrast to an increase of 0.4 percent.

Compensation: Wages and salaries increased $18.3 billion in June, compared with an increase of $32.0 billion in May. Private wages and salaries increased $16.0 billion in June, compared with an increase of $29.6 billion in May. Government wages and salaries increased $2.3 billion, compared with an increase of $2.4 billion.

Supplements to wages and salaries increased $4.4 billion in June, compared with an increase of $5.6 billion in May.

• U.S. Personal Income — May 2015


Personal income increased $79.0 billion, or 0.5 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $65.5 billion, or 0.5 percent, in May.

Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $105.9 billion, or 0.9 percent. In April, personal income increased $69.6 billion, or 0.5 percent, DPI increased $57.0 billion, or 0.4 percent, and PCE increased $8.5 billion, or 0.1 percent, based on revised estimates.

Real DPI increased 0.2 percent in May, compared with an increase of 0.4 percent in April. Real PCE increased 0.6 percent, compared with an increase of less than 0.1 percent.

• U.S. Personal Income and Outlays — April 2015


Personal income increased $59.4 billion, or 0.4 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $48.8 billion, or 0.4 percent, in April. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) decreased $2.6 billion, or less than 0.1 percent.

In March, personal income increased $4.0 billion, or less than 0.1 percent, DPI increased $0.5 billion, or less than 0.1 percent, and PCE increased $65.6 billion, or 0.5 percent, based on revised estimates.

Real DPI increased 0.3 percent in April, in contrast to a decrease of 0.2 percent in March.

Real PCE decreased less than 0.1 percent, in contrast to an increase of 0.4 percent.

• U.S. Personal Income and Compensation — March 2015


Personal income increased $6.2 billion, or less than 0.1 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $1.6 billion, or less than 0.1 percent, in March, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $53.4 billion, or 0.4 percent. In February, personal income increased $66.4 billion, or 0.4 percent, DPI increased $61.2 billion, or 0.5 percent, and PCE increased $20.8 billion, or 0.2 percent, based on revised estimates.

Real DPI decreased 0.2 percent in March, in contrast to an increase of 0.3 percent in February. Real PCE increased 0.3 percent, in contrast to a decrease of less than 0.1 percent.

Wages and salaries increased $16.3 billion in March, compared with an increase of $24.2 billion in February. Private wages and salaries increased $15.2 billion, compared with an increase of $22.6 billion. Government wages and salaries increased $1.0 billion, compared with an increase of $1.7 billion.

Supplements to wages and salaries increased $4.2 billion in March, compared with an increase of $5.1 billion in February.

• U.S. Personal Income & Expenditures — November 2014


Personal income increased $54.4 billion, or 0.4 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $42.4 billion, or 0.3 percent, in November. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $67.9 billion, or 0.6 percent. In October, personal income increased $49.8 billion, or 0.3 percent, DPI increased $39.7 billion, or 0.3 percent, and PCE increased $31.3 billion, or 0.3 percent, based on revised estimates.

Real DPI increased 0.5 percent in November, compared with an increase of 0.3 percent in October. Real PCE increased 0.7 percent, compared with an increase of 0.2 percent. The price index for PCE decreased 0.2 percent, in contrast to an increase of less than 0.1 percent.

Private wages and salaries increased $38.7 billion in November, compared with an increase of $24.9 billion in October.

Goods-producing industries' payrolls increased $7.3 billion in November, the same increase as in October. Manufacturing payrolls increased $3.9 billion in November, compared with an increase of $4.6 billion in October. Services-producing industries' payrolls increased $31.5 billion, compared with an increase of $17.6 billion. Government wages and salaries increased $1.8 billion, compared with an increase of $1.2 billion.

• U.S. Personal Income – June 2014


In June Personal income increased $56.7 billion, or 0.4 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $51.5 billion, or 0.4 percent. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $51.7 billion, or 0.4 percent.

In May, personal income increased $57.4 billion, or 0.4 percent, DPI increased $55.0 billion, or 0.4 percent, and PCE increased $39.8 billion, or 0.3 percent, based on revised estimates.
