• U.S. New Home Sales — June 2015


Sales of new single-family houses in June 2015 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 482,000. This is 6.8 percent (±12.5%) below the revised May rate of 517,000, but is 18.1 percent (±18.1%) above the June 2014 estimate of 408,000.

The median sales price of new houses sold in June 2015 was $281,800; the average sales price was $328,700.

The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of June was 215,000. This represents a supply of 5.4 months at the current sales rate.

• U.S. New Home Sales — May 2015


Sales of new single-family houses in May 2015 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 546,000. This is 2.2 percent (±16.7%) above the revised April rate of 534,000 and is 19.5 percent (±19.7%) above the May 2014 estimate of 457,000.

The median sales price of new houses sold in May 2015 was $282,800; the average sales price was $337,000. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of May was 206,000. This represents a supply of 4.5 months at the current sales rate.”

• U.S. New Residential Sales — April 2015


Sales of new single-family houses in April 2015 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 517,000, according to estimates released 26 May 2015. This is 6.8 percent (±15.8%) above the revised March rate of 484,000 and is 26.1 percent (±15.4%) above the April 2014 estimate of 410,000.

The median sales price of new houses sold in April 2015 was $297,300; the average sales price was $341,500. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of April was 205,000. This represents a supply of 4.8 months at the current sales rate.

• U.S. New Home Sales – July 2013


Sales of new single-family houses in July 2013 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 394,000. This is 13.4 percent (±14.5%) below the revised June rate of 455,000, but is 6.8 percent (±18.6%) above the July 2012 estimate of 369,000.

The median sales price of new houses sold in July 2013 was $257,200; the average sales price was $322,700. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of July was 171,000. This represents a supply of 5.2 months at the current sales rate.

• U.S. New Residential Home Sales – May 2013


Sales of new single-family houses in May 2013 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 476,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 2.1 percent (±16.6%) above the revised April rate of 466,000 and is 29.0 percent (±17.5%) above the May 2012 estimate of 369,000.

The median sales price of new houses sold in May 2013 was $263,900; the average sales price was $307,800. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of May was 161,000. This represents a supply of 4.1 months at the current sales rate.
