There were 5.05 million job openings on the last business day of January, up from 4.37 million in December. Hires increased to 4.74 million in January.  This release includes estimates of the number and rate of job openings, hires, and separations for the nonfarm sector by industry and by four geographic regions. The release also includes 2014 annual estimates for hires and separations.
